According to The Sunday Times, 36% of reported car thefts in 2020 were keyless entry.  Coupled with their survey of the ten most commonly stolen vehicles in 2021, where Range Rover Sport,  Mercedes C & E Classes,  BMW 3 Series and Land Rover Discovery, all feature in the top ten and all are luxury vehicles with keyless entry systems.

With this in mind, it’s important to take steps to protect your vehicle if it is keyless.  You can do this in one of three ways: use something to block the car key signals, secure your vehicle with a steering lock or invest in a GPS tracker.  You can block the signals by storing keys out of sight and away from the car; in a blocking pouch or aluminium tin; put the key fob in a shielded wallet or Faraday pouch when you are out; turn off the key fobs wireless signal when not in use.

If you own a luxury vehicle which is keyless entry, how are you keeping your vehicle safe? As well as following the above advice on keeping the fob safe, how about installing a GPS tracker?  A Find It Stop It GPS tracker is just £59.95 and no ongoing monthly subscription.  It is easy-to-install device and you will be alerted of unauthorised movement.
