With motorcycle thefts on the rise in the seaside town of Eastbourne, police have launched Operation Terrain to identify and catch those responsible for the motorbike thefts, it has been reported in Sussex World. In the latest round up, 5 teenagers (between ages of 14 to 16) have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, after studying CCTV and on-going enquiries. Locals have been encouraged to report suspicious behaviour and any abandoned vehicles. The Police have also advised owners of scooters, mopeds and motorbikes to double lock and chain their vehicles as well as parking them out of sight and install CCTV.
As well as this sensible advice from the Police, we would advise motorcycle owners to install a GPS auto track and stop solution. A Find It Stop It tracker is easy-to-install, easy to monitor via the app and in the event that your motorbike is taken then the engine can be immobilised remotely.
